My Christmas Break

One of the best things about being in college is that I got 3 weeks off for Christmas Break. I also had the best Christmas eve I've ever had. I fell asleep in my dad's massage chair and then woke up to a lobster and shrimp dinner. Then, I went back to sleep and woke up at 12:30 Christmas morning, luckily I didn't wake up when Santa was putting presents under my tree. When I woke up again at 9 I opened the best Christmas present I've ever received. A remote control helicopter was waiting for me. Needless to say that when I went somewhere in my house, that helicopter was flying right in front of me. Sadly, my three week break has come to and end and school has started up once again. It is nice to be back though. Until next time.

My residents

Being an RA has always been a good experience. Okay I have to go on rounds and fill out paper work every week, so what? Being an RA is a chance to take a leading role in the school atmosphere and it forces you to meet the residents on your floor. I can honestly say that Cameron 1st floor is the best floor on campus. We have a lot of different kinds of kids here on Cameron 1st floor, but I think thats a reason that the floor is so much fun. We have this white board that we everyone on the floor writes comments on, or draws pictures on. It might not always be the most appropriate material, but it is always a good laugh. Keep it up Cameron 1st floor, much love from your RA.

Until next time!

My ginger bread house

This past week our professor had has make ginger bread houses in class. Now I know a lot of you might be thinking that it was a wasted class period but that is a bad assumption to make. The class is called designing operations. In this class we learn about manufacturing processes so that it could save a company money. We learn about assembly lines and JIT processes. Not only is the material interesting but the class is taught by one of the most entertaining teachers I've ever had a chance to be taught by. If you come to Trine, do your best to take a class taught by Professor Bill Lipman. Anyways, he used the ginger bread activity to give us a chance to design our own processes with in our small group who was making the ginger bread house. My group got second place. Enough said.

Until next time.

My fastest school year

Homecoming, fall break, and mid terms have already passed. With this semester coming nearer to its end with every passing class I've come to the conclusion that this has been what seems like the fastest semester I've experienced at Trine. It's weird to think that in 3 more semesters I'll be graduated and out in the "real world". Last blog I talked about a class that I really like, but my advice this week is to get as much as you can out of every class you take.

On a lighter note, the Walter Cunningham writing contest is coming up again. I'm going to for second win in a row in the fiction category and plan on entering another category as well. And I will be going paint balling for the first time in my life this coming thursday. For everyone involved in taking my Paintball V card, I thank you in advance. Until next time.

My e-ship leadership class

If any of you reading this blog plan on coming to Trine, regardless of your major you should take Gregg Shull's class entrepreneurial leadership. Professor Shull is a passionate teacher, and his content is resolvent to everyday life. He shows you what it takes to be a leader and examples of people who are great at just that, leading. This is the second best class I've ever taken at Trine, and I'd hate for any prospective students to over look it.

On a lighter note, homecoming was a blast. I'm still really busy, and I have a few papers here and there to get to work on. But, I'm surviving my Junior year in college just fine. Until next time!

My slow start

Hello everyone,

I've been a bit slack at writing my blog for this school year. I've been really busy keeping up with reading and studying for all of my courses and regret to inform my followers that I will not be wrestling this school year. I am however working on a project with the Dean of the school of business. It's not really a secret, but we will be launching it in the next couple of weeks so I think I'm going to wait and let you know about it when we get it going. I have had a bit of a slow start to my school year thus far, but things are starting to pick up. I've been to a volley ball game and a couple soccer games. And Trine's football team won their first game! WOOO! I'll have more to tell you guys next week. Until then!

My 3rd year

Hello everyone! Long time no talk huh? My summer was pretty busy. I got 12 credits this summer, so I'm back on track (I had to take this math class that didn't count for any credit my freshman year). I moved in to my building, Cameron (I wish it were platt) and got my new residents all settled in. Want to hear the best part of my school year? I have no classes on monday or friday, and only one class on wednesday. But, I don't have that class till 6 p.m.! Needless to say I'm pretty excited. Well, I got to get back to the drawing board and get ready for this night class. Until next week!
